Spalding Primary School
Learning Together, Succeeding Together
School remains open during the current lock-down for the children of critical workers. If your child is currently attending school, please make sure that they only come to school on days when parents/carers are working. If you have a day off in the week or a holiday day, your child should remain at home with you please.
Covid-19 test results
If your child is currently attending school, and needs to have a Covid-19 test, if you receive the results outside of normal school hours or at a weekend, please contact us by email on covidupdatesps@spalding-pri.lincs.sch.uk This email address is monitored out of normal hours and at weekends, so we would be able to put any special arrangements in place and give you information as early as possible if a positive test result was to be received.
Wellbeing
We know all of you are trying really hard with remote learning, and that it isn’t always easy. We just want to reassure you that you are all doing a great job and that sometimes you need time away from the screen. Look out for ideas from your teacher on Seesaw for activities that you can complete without the need to use technology, e.g. one day you might go for walk, or play a board game, or do some drawing/colouring. Try not to worry if you don’t always have time every day to complete all of the work set by the teacher, just do what you can!
Check-ins
It has been absolutely delightful to chat with the children and hear about what they have been doing during the last couple of weeks. We really miss the children who are not in school and our calls are a lovely opportunity for both children and staff to have a ‘catch up’. We will continue to make these calls to the children.
Is your child eligible for Pupil Premium Funding? This funding is available for children whose parents are in receipt of certain benefits. It entitles your child to free meals during KS2, free milk, 50% discount on school trips (including residential trips), discounted music tuition, additional teaching support, and help with purchasing uniform and equipment. If you think your child might be eligible, or if you would like further information, please call into the school office in confidence.
