Arriving and Leaving School
Our new times for arriving and leaving school are working very smoothly. Thank you for your co-operation with this. Please make sure that you follow our strict instructions. Your child’s start & finish times and gate of entry have been communicated with you and are also clearly shown on the signs on the gates. You should bring and pick up your child at the time allocated. When leaving the playground after your child has come into school please leave by your allocated gate. Please do not crowd in front of the gate as this prevents people from entering and please make sure you keep your distance near to the Crossing Patrol man. Thank you.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT ALL OF THESE MEASURES ARE PUT IN PLACE FOR THE SAFETY AND WELLBEING OF ALL CHILDREN, PARENTS/CARERS, AND STAFF.
Hand Gel
All children within school are regularly using, and also being reminded to use hand gel. We also have a regular strict handwashing regime in place for all children. Can we please discourage children from bringing their own hand gel into school – we are finding that many children are playing with their individual bottles and using them as a toy. If it is necessary for your child to bring hand gel, this needs to be kept in their school bag at all times during the school day please.
Reading Books
Can we please remind you to have a search at home to see if you still have any school reading books from last year. We have a large number which have not been returned. Thank you.
Flu Vaccinations
If you have not already registered your child for the flu vaccination, please do this as soon as possible. A reminder email about this was emailed to children in Years 1-6 on 8th September and sent home with Reception parents on Monday 14th September. If you need a further copy of the letter please contact the school office. The vaccinations will take place within school on 3rd December.
Year 6 - 11+ Tests
Just a reminder that the second 11+ test (non-verbal reasoning) takes place tomorrow, Saturday 26th September at the Grammar School for boys and at the High School for girls.
