ACORN 8 - 17th December 2020

We would like to say a huge thank you to all our lovely children, parents/carers and to our amazing staff. 2020 has been a very challenging year for us all. Our wonderful staff have worked so hard during and since the initial lock-down period, either continuing to be in school or working from home.  Our children have been so good at following all the new rules within school.  They were so excited to be back with their friends in September and have worked really hard.  Our parents/carers have been so supportive towards children and staff. 2020 will certainly be a year to remember!!  We hope that 2021 will be a better year for all of us.

We look forward to seeing you all again on Monday 4th January 2021.

We are sad to be saying goodbye to Mrs Beesley who is leaving us this term.  However, we will still be able to keep in contact with her as she will be joining Pinchbeck East Primary School where she will teach a Year 1 class. We wish her all the very best in her new job.

COVID test results received during the Christmas holiday

If your child tests positive for Covid-19 on or before Wednesday 23rd December 2020, please email us on covidupdatesps@spalding-pri.lincs.sch.uk

Hot School Meals - Don’t forget to order meals for January – the menus for the first few weeks in January are already available. If you do not manage to order before the deadline, please make sure your child has a packed lunch with them for the first week back in school.  Thank you.

Starting School in September 2021 - If you have a child who was born between 1st September 2016 and 31st August 2017, they will be due to start school in September 2021.  You need to apply for a place in a school for them—please do not assume that because they have a brother or sister in our school, or your child goes to Wygate Foundation Nursery School that you will automatically get a place in our school—this is not the case.  Unfortunately, due to the current situation, we are unable to hold our usual Reception Open Day but if you take a look on our school website you will be able to see a Virtual Tour of our EYFS area and our school. Information regarding applying for a place is available on our website or please call into our school office to pick up a leaflet.  If you are applying for a place and have a brother or sister who currently comes to our school, please make sure you put this information in the relevant place on the application form.  This could make the difference between you obtaining a place in this school or not.  The application process opened on 16th November 2020 and closes on 15th January 2021.
